IS 456-2000 Smooth and Reinforced Concrete - Code of Practice is a standard Indian practice code for the general structural use of smooth and reinforced concrete. The last revision of this standard was made in the year 2000 and was reaffirmed in 2005. This code uses the limit state design approach as well as the work stress design approach.
